These truffles are what dreams are made of. Seriously, these barely lasted an hour in my house.

Lemme tell you about these truffles. They are bite-sized chocolate treats with a caramel taste and consistency. Oh yea, these are like having the entire carnival in your mouth.
I have a confession: The first time I made these I turned them into something that resembled a tar pit. They were sticky, runny, and very, very, messy. Thank goodness the girls at my Bunco club didn’t mind and ate them up, almost eating the paper along with it. And yes, I play Bunco with my neighbors once a week. I may be the youngest, but that didn’t stop me from winning $10 last week with my mini bunco win!
Anyways, back to these truffles.
To make sure they have the perfect consistency, make sure you cook them at least ten minutes on low. I was afraid I was going to burn my chocolate so I took it off the heat way too early. Don’t make the same mistake I did!
One of the things I love about these truffles is that there are only 4 ingredients! Make sure you use condensed milk and not evaporated milk. They aren’t the same and your truffles will be no bueno!
Did you know that dulce de leche is made from sweetened condensed milk? Yep, that’s what gives these truffles that caramel flavor and gooey texture.

Rich chocolate truffles covered in chocolate sprinkles.
- 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 Tbsp cocoa powder sifted
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup chocolate sprinkles
In medium saucepan combine sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, and butter. Stir and bring to a boil. Let boil 30 seconds. Reduce to low and let simmer 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Once very thick, take off heat and transfer to a greased bowl. Place in fridge to cool, about 1 hour.
Once the chocolate mixture has cooled, pour the sprinkles into a dish. Use a small tablespoon and measure out the mixture and roll into balls in the palms of your hands. Coat with sprinkles and place on a plate or in individual candy wrappers. Serve.
